Transplanting and Bulldogging

Today was SWEEEEEEEEEEET! I slept late (til around 11:00AM -- how cool is that??) and then proceeded to do pretty much NOTHING important. Although, SAM's and HOME DEPOT and GAMESTOP were all open today (essential stores to be open on a holiday weekend) and Bran got a computer game and I had gulped down two big bottles of water and wouldn't ya know it, *BOOM* it hits me! I GOTTA TINKLE! And right in the middle of the browsing of GameCube games. ARGH! Well, no public toidies there, so we skipped across the parking lot to SAM's (well, I tried to skip but Bran insisted we drive). And after I took care of my (ahem) business there, I went in search of Bran, who was browsing the electronics aisle (I always know where to find him, even in a HUGE warehouse) and I found the best deal on a laser printer ($298). But of course, I'm broke (or the money is earmarked for something frivolous like electricity or car notes, etc), so I didn't get it. But I did put it on my DEAR SANTA BABY list. Oh, I hope he brings it down the chimney to me!

Oh yeah, and then it was Home Depot. Tra la la... I went to the garden center and Bran hit the weedwhacker accessory lane. I had to get some big pots and dirt (and 2 big bags of 3-in-1 compost stuff... it claims to have lots of manure in it. Yummy, huh?). Anyway, I had to replant this confederate rose plant that my stepmother gave to me last year. It had split the pot it was planted in and the roots were barrelling through the dirt. I wondered why the plant was growing so well -- and in the itty bitty pot... Anyway... I transplanted that to a BIG pot (with a generous heap of manure) and transplanted another tree I had that was going to outgrow it's pot soon.

ENOUGH BORING GARDEN TALK!

Then I made a Colorado Bulldog (Kahlua, Milk and a splash of Coke). It was goooood. And diet of course (remember the rule about no calories on holidays).

Welp, there ya have it. I did nothing important today and dad-gummit, it FELT WONDERFUL! I'm hoping to do it again tomorrow.
