So.... it's been awhile since I posted I see. *yikes* But considering I've had 2 ppl write me and tell me to start up again, I will end my hunger strike and do just that. Ok, well, I wasn't on a hunger strike... I wasn't even planning on this unplanned hiatus. I just took a wrong turn (not at albequerque...how do you spell that?? And why did Bugs Bunny ALWAYS use that phrase?). I digress...

Where was I? Oh yeah, I was giving the ol' song and dance routine of what's kept me away. Well, nothing really exciting or worth writing about. I just procrastinated. On writing here in the blog and on my story. Ugh. I'm a total looo-hoo zaaah-herr! My grandmother passed away this month - very sad. But she had just turned 90 yrs old. So that's a phenomenal milestone IMHO. Brandon and I had to drive 5 hours down to the funeral and then turn around and drive another 5 hrs home. Long day.. but we took a rental, so no mileage on either of our coaches. We rented a Ford Focus and I'll be honest, I thought they were kind of wind-up looking, but they got EXCELLENT gas mileage and we made it down there and back PLUS renting the car on LESS than it would have taken us to use our Chevy Truck. Can you believe that? I really wish they'd (the big THEY) would push for more environmentally friendly cars and more hybrids etc. I really wanted one of those Toyota Prius's, but man, trying to find one for sale is pretty much like spotting a wandering Yeti. And forget about paying.. aye yie yie.... mucho dinero.
Ooops... I digressed again, didn't I?
Oh, real quick, I want to thank "Queen D" The Original Southern Diva for making me today's blog! *blush* I'm honored that you stopped in and read my ramblings. And thanks to my other internet blogger friend, Gina for checking in on me.
SO it's Thanksgiving and I'm hopped up on Triptophin (Zzzzzz). I had all the diet food: Sweet potatoes with praline topping, creamed spinach casserole, double-decker pumpkin pie, mashed taters, mom's cornbread dressing, smoked turkey, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and rolls. Yummmmy! I took a nap so now I shall look forward to eating even more of that leftover yumminess when next I travel to the kitchen....
Okay, so hmmm... now that I mentioned eating some more I can't think of anything else to say. Must eat... must...eat....
...obey the turkey....
